Job Title: Loss Prevention Technician (Weekends)
Location: 2251 Silver Creek Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76108
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Position Type: Part time
Typical Work Schedule: Saturday 1:00pm- 5:30pm and Sunday 6:00am-5:30pm
Pay Range: $18.50-$22.00
About the role:
Silver Creek Materials is seeking a Loss Prevention Specialist to protect the integrity of our operations by identifying and preventing contamination, material loss, operational inefficiencies, and safety risks. This position serves as a critical checkpoint within our recycling, composting, and aggregate operations by inspecting incoming loads, verifying material acceptance standards, documenting discrepancies, and helping ensure only approved materials enter production.
The ideal candidate is observant, detail-oriented, and proactive in identifying issues before they impact safety, equipment, product quality, or profitability. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, sound judgment, accountability, and a commitment to protecting Silver Creek Materials' employees, equipment, products, and reputation.
What you'll do:
• Ensure a safe environment through a team effort of diligent active patrol, strict access control, monitoring, and equipment control
• Always be visible and observant, greet staff, guests, and vendors in a courteous and attentive manner
• Observe and report suspicious, criminal conduct and trespassers
• Maintain the company's reputation with professionalism and legal compliance
• Collaborate with other security officers for effective protection and coverage
• Patrol property, monitor assets, buildings, gates, and fence perimeter
• Investigate and take the appropriate lawfully action as authorized by the corporate policy on accidents, incidents, trespassing, suspicious activities, safety, and fire incidents
• Control and monitor surveillance equipment, and perform building and equipment inspections
• Guard access points, permitting or refusing entry, direct heavy traffic during start and end of business hours
• Collect paperwork and issue tickets to after-hour customers
• Conduct hourly fire watch duties utilizing FLIR and 4k water truck equipped with hose and cannon
Qualifications & Skills:
• High School or GED required
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Ability or work additional hours as necessary to meet business needs
• Must like working outside
• Must be reliable and dependable
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
