Job description

Corporate Wings, a distinguished boutique-style aircraft management company is seeking a Gulfstream 650 Lead Captain to join our dynamic team! Our Management Headquarters is located at Cuyahoga County Airport in Richmond Heights, Ohio.
With over 40 years of experience and as the inaugural member of the Directional Aviation Portfolio, we have created a reputation for excellence in managing a fleet of over 20 aircraft. As a Lead Captain at Corporate Wings, you are the embodiment of our commitment to providing not only technically accurate and safe transportation but also delivering a world-class service experience for all passengers. In this role, you will seamlessly wear multiple hats, transitioning from a professional aviator to an in-flight service provider, ensuring a concierge service level experience. Further, you will have the opportunity to guide and nurture your pilot team, fostering their growth and ensuring exceptional performance.
You will be dedicated support to a (KDAL) Dallas, TX based Gulfstream 650 contributing to a team of 3 pilots and 1 cabin server operating an on-demand schedule for a managed aircraft client flying ~400 hours annually on a Part 91 basis.
Overview of Responsibilities:
  • Manage duty schedules, approve monthly expense reports, conduct annual performance evaluations, and manage training schedules for other crew members.
  • Interact with additional flight crew or personnel to coordinate team action, identify areas of opportunity, answer questions, share information, as well as foster and promote employee goodwill. This includes mentorship and counsel to help team members strive to maximize their potential.
  • Partner with Client Service Manager to stay updated regarding aircraft schedule changes or other matters that may affect the scheduling of aircraft/crew.
  • Solicit Corporate Wings input and/or approval for all operational, personnel, and administrative issues or anticipated needs for pilot relief.
  • Coordinate all maintenance test, training, and other flights not initiated by client's normal scheduling protocol.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient execution of assigned flight schedules, adhering to all regulatory and manufacturer's guidelines.
  • Personally welcome and engage with passengers pre-flight, providing detailed briefings on the trip, confirming itineraries, offering weather updates, and explaining any changes.
  • Serve as a dedicated liaison between passengers and Corporate Wings throughout the entire journey, from arrival at the FBO to safe departure from the final destination FBO.
  • Deliver impeccable in-flight service, including the responsible handling of alcohol, catering service, and meticulous loading and stowing of all baggage.
  • Uphold the cabin's integrity by performing thorough cleaning, organization, and stocking procedures before each trip.
  • Flexibly undertake additional responsibilities as assigned based on specific assignments.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Reside within 2 hours of (KDAL) Dallas, TX (Required)
  • FAA Airline Transport Pilot License (ATP) license. (Required)
  • 5,000 total flight hours minimum, of which 2,500 hours as a PIC. (Required)
  • First Class Medical with unrestricted ability to travel worldwide. (Required)
  • Gulfstream 650 type rating (Required).
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant or Aircraft Maintenance Engineer license.
  • Ability to work varying hours including day and night; weekdays, weekends and holidays.
  • Able to manage rest to always be prepared for flight duty during their tour.
  • Service-oriented with a neat, well-groomed appearance and a demonstrated ability to make a positive impression including a strong capability to effectively interact with passengers.
  • Demonstrate the ability to make quick and accurate decisions while paying close attention to detail, both technically and from a passenger-service perspective.
  • Working knowledge of FARs 91, 91K, and 135; ICAO and other international regulations
