Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Flight Instructor based in Albany, TX. The Flight Instructor will be responsible for providing high-quality helicopter pilot training, ensuring stringent adherence to all safety protocols, and delivering instruction aligned with curriculum standards. Key responsibilities include teaching flight techniques, monitoring students’ progress, assisting in pre-flight and post-flight operations, and maintaining flight readiness of training aircraft. The role also involves ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and promoting a culture of safety and excellence.

Will also be conducting utility flying to include pipeline and power line patrols.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Instrument Rating and experience with Commercial Piloting
  • Strong expertise in Piloting and Flight Safety procedures
  • Comprehensive knowledge and practical experience in Aviation principles
  • Demonstrated instructional aptitude and ability to mentor trainee pilots
  • FAA Certified Flight Instructor rating with applicable endorsements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Aviation or a related field is preferred
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team
  • Previous experience with utility sector flying or inspection services is an advantage
