The Opportunity

The Flight Department is currently accepting applications for a Flight Data and Certification Analyst. The Flight Data and Certification Analyst evaluates and maintains all documents relating to student flight records. The selected candidate will support the Flight Data and Certification department by ensuring all University standards and FAA requirements set forth in FAR Part 141,142, and 61 are been met for approximately 2000 flight students annually.

Job Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Verification of student legal names and all course completion documents in order to produce FAA 8710 applications, temporary certificates, and graduation certificates.

  • The organization of all additional course completion materials for the Chief Flight Instructor, Airman Certification Representatives, and Training Course Evaluators which includes CC form, SP detail(s), Flight Data & Certification worksheet, Ground school attendance & test grades, FAA written test, medical certificate, superseded pilot certificate, acceptable picture identification , grade computation, and various additional documentation as applicable such as visa's, I-20 form, FAA AFS-760-Letter-03 for verification of foreign license, transfer credit, Part 142 re-enrollment form, and ground training status form.

  • Provide daily customer service to flight instructors, staff, and students in support of their varied needs.

  • Effectively utilize the Imaging system, Workflow, ACRA, IACRA, ETA flight systems and various Excel and Access data bases to accurately record and disseminate information and reports.

  • Conduct one-on-one meetings with students and instructors for completion of FAA 8710 applications.

  • The Flight Analyst serves as a critical regulatory and operational authority within the flight training program, ensuring full compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requirements under FAR Parts 61, 141, and 142 across all student flight training activities.

Compensation
The hourly range for this role is up to $19.00. The final offer will be based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience, as well as applicable state regulations, internal equity, and business needs, and may fall outside of the stated range.

Qualifications

Required Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree required

  • Three or more years of related work experience

Required skills, knowledge, abilities:

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft programs including Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook/email

  • High level of personal communication skills (particularly oral)

  • Strong computer skills

  • Detail and customer service oriented

  • Progressively responsible office experience
