About the Opportunity:

Join our client, a prominent leader in the air ambulance industry in the United States, as a Flight Paramedic. Contribute to saving lives as you provide exceptional emergency medical care while traveling by rotor-wing, fixed-wing, or ground transport. In a role where you are intricately involved in transporting patients and supporting outreach education to leading healthcare systems, you will be an integral part of moving communities to health while prioritizing safety. Responsibilities:

  • Execute a wide range of specialized functions including complex assessments, diagnoses, and therapies for transported patients.

  • Accurately document information related to assessment, treatment, billing, and patient transport processes.

  • Facilitate timely and effective communication with management and customers, both internally and externally.

  • Support public relations and marketing efforts of the organization.

  • Enhance your expertise by attending mandatory meetings, chart reviews, and educational sessions focused on critically ill or injured patient care and transport.

  • Comply with annual competency requirements and maintain active paramedic certifications.

  • Adhere to the regulations set by the local Department of Health Services under the supervision of the Medical Director.

Requirements:

  • Active paramedic certification in the state of employment.

  • Minimum of three years (five years preferred) of current paramedic field experience in a busy 911/pre-hospital service.

  • Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, and PHTLS/ITLS; NRP and instructor certifications preferred.

  • Obtain FP-C certification within 24 months of hire.

  • Preferred flight or transport experience.

  • Successful completion of the education/orientation program.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with diverse personnel and customers.

  • Basic computer proficiency for tasks like email and charting.

  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field.

  • Ability to pass a physical exam, drug, and background screening; must maintain body weight below 235 lbs.
