Job description

Title : Mod C Technician

Duration : 3+Months

Location : West Columbia, SC
Shift: 1st Shift and 2nd Shift
Pay Rate: $24.00-$30.00/hr on w2 (based on the exp)


Here are the current openings:

Line 1 First Shift: 1 full-time technician

  • Hours: Monday-Thursday: 7:30am-3:30pm or 5:30am-3:30pm as needed, Friday 5:30am-2:00pm. Saturday: 5:30am-12:00pm or 5:30am-2:00pm as needed. Sunday: 5:30am-12:00pm as needed.

Line 1 Second Shift: 3 full-time technicians *Main hiring need*.

  • Monday-Thursday: 3:00pm-11:00pm, Friday: 2:00pm-10:30pm. Saturday: 5:30am-12:00pm or 5:30am-2:00pm as needed. Sunday: Not at this time but must be open to working Sunday's.


General Purpose: 

Supports engineering services activities such as hardware and software design and development (non-production).

Principle Accountabilities:

  • Performs complex engineering tests, checkouts, and development engineering tasks.
  • Diagnoses and isolates malfunctions to the component level.
  • Analyzes engineering test results, and implements changes to resolve problems.
  • Conducts operations tests and fault isolation on development systems and equipment to ensure conformance with design specifications, collecting data, analyzing results and implementing procedures.
  • Reviews project instructions and blueprints to ascertain test specifications, procedures, objectives, test equipment, nature of technical problem and possible solutions such as part redesign, substitution of material or parts or rearrangement of parts or subassemblies.
  • Devises, fabricates and assembles new or modified mechanical components or assemblies for products such as industrial equipment and machinery, power equipment, server systems, machine tools and measuring instruments.
  • Sets up and conducts tests of complete units and components under operational conditions to investigate design, or to obtain data for development, standardization, quality control and problem resolution
  • Analyzes indicated and calculated test results in relation to design or rated specifications and test objectives, and modifies or adjusts equipment to meet specifications.
  • Records test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and recommendations for changes in product or test method.
  • Maintains software, documentation and equipment to the latest revision or operational specifications. 
  • Assists engineers in developing and designing hardware and software required to test customer products per their specifications.
  • Trains technicians and operators on products, processes and equipment.

SPECIALIZED JOB RESPONSIBILITIES may be required for certain positions. These could include one or more of the following duties:

  • Assists with customer presentations and interfaces with customers.
  • Assists engineers with outside third party developments
  • Organizes documentation (specifications, schematics, and procedures).
  • Develops of tests per customer specifications.
