Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Machine Mechanic will be responsible for mechanical support, general fixes to equipment, abilities to keep our operations, machines and equipment operating and ensure the machinery is neat and functional. The position responsibilities include implementing process improvements on existing procedures and compounding equipment, installation of new equipment, repairs, maintenance and ensure the manufacturing equipment and tools function properly.

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Technical degree, Mechanic, Electrical or equivalent experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• 3+ years’ experience in Mechanical and Maintenance functions.
• Strong Mechanical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Team working oriented.
• Previous experience in Industrial Mechanical & Maintenance roles, Manufacturing, or other related fields.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSABILITIES

• Inspect, maintain, and repair industrial equipment to ensure they’re always in proper working order.
• Test and observe equipment and machinery using tools such as voltmeters and other testing devices to diagnose malfunctions and make repairs as needed.
• Careful attention to detail and time management.
• Care for machinery and equipment by cleaning them after use, maintenance, adjusting parts and moving components as needed to ensure proper, efficient function.
• Examine moving parts, machinery on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis for signs of excessive wear, defects or damage.
• Record all maintenance and repair services performed and keep track of all materials and parts used during the repair process.
• Request orders to be placed to replenish materials and parts for inventory.
• Ability to work effectively as a team member.
• Assisting with development and implementation of Mechanical Procedures.
• Maintaining accuracy of manufacturing functions.
• Work with manuals, procedures and blueprints and carefully follow directions when operating or setting up new machinery, repairs, and maintenance of existing equipment.
• Ensuring all safety and health standards are met to keep an organization accident-free.
• Evaluating machine resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime.
• Other duties as assigned.
