Key Qualifications:

  • Active Virginia Special Education Teacher license (VA SPED) required
  • Prior experience working with elementary-age students in adaptive special education settings preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to working with students, families, and fellow professionals
  • Ability to create individualized education plans (IEPs) and implement effective, differentiated instruction
  • Dedication to promoting inclusivity, empowerment, and a positive learning atmosphere

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead a self-contained adaptive special education classroom, tailoring lessons to meet diverse learning needs
