Job Summary:


The Staff Accountant performs detailed accounting in relation to the company's cash management, including deposit reconciliation, miscellaneous accounts receivable reconciliation, support of accounts payable, oversight of Show Me Healthy Woman program invoicing and payment, centralized tracking and oversight of VFC inventory, and other special assignments as needed.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate cash management for all clinics including petty cash. Prepare deposits and reconcile to payments posted in EPIC
  • Reconcile and analyzes general ledger accounts.
  • Ability to detect errors and discrepancies; attention to detail.
  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts and document transactions.
  • Manage vendor setup for accounts payable.
  • Assist in the month-end close process by preparing various reconciliations and journal entries as assigned.
  • Manage VFC tracking and reconciliation for all clinic locations.
  • Prepare invoices and reconcile to SMHW payments to Cox and Mercy for all clinic locations. Coordinate with clinic staff to resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintains professional affiliations and enhances professional growth and development through seminars, conferences, and community involvement.
  • Provides accounting support for Finance team.
  • Promotes effective working relations and work effectively as part of a team to facilitate the Clinic's ability to meet its goals and objectives.
  • Attains all agreed to goals and objectives within specified time frames, as part of the Clinic's overall mission.
  • Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible and courteous environment.
  • Proficient in standard software programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • All other duties as assigned.
