Role: R&D Scientist

Location: Temecula, CA 92590 (Onsite)

Duration: 6 Months (Leave Coverage)

Pay Rate: $47/hr โ€“$50/hr on W2 (Depending on Experience)

Schedule: Mondayโ€“Friday | 40 Hours/Week

Employment Type: Contract


Job Summary

We are seeking a PhD-level R&D Scientist to support a 6-month leave of absence within an innovative Research & Development team. The ideal candidate will have expert-level HPLC experience along with strong laboratory expertise in drug conjugate synthesis, assay development, and analytical characterization. This role focuses on new product development, technology scale-up, prototype validation, and collaboration with multidisciplinary R&D teams.


Required Qualifications

  • PhD in Biomaterials, Chemistry, Chemical Biology, Molecular Biology, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Expert-level proficiency with HPLC (Required).
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • Cell Culture
  • Cell & Biochemical Assays
  • Flow Cytometry
  • Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS)
  • Western Blot
  • Experience in drug conjugate synthesis and characterization.
  • Knowledge of immunology and chemical biology.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and laboratory skills.
  • Ability to follow Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and safety regulations.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with peptide/protein characterization and bioassays.
  • Experience in peptide/protein chemistry.
  • Experience with nano formulation development.
  • Background in chemical biology with working knowledge of immunology.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop expertise in drug conjugate synthesis and characterization.
  • Perform formulation characterization and assay development.
  • Validate technical prototypes and conduct analytical testing.
  • Analyze experimental results and document findings.
  • Support new product development and process scale-up.
  • Assist with product launch and post-launch activities.
  • Collaborate with scientists and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Contribute ideas toward drug discovery and innovation initiatives.
  • Maintain compliance with laboratory safety and GLP standards.
