Immediate need for a talented Research & Development Scientist 2. This is a 24 months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Summit, NJ (Onsite). Please review the job description below and contact me ASAP if you are interested.

Pay Range: $32/hr - $35/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).


Key Responsibilities:


  • We are seeking an independent and motivated Scientist to join the Product Development R&D team.
  • This role will report into Product Development in the US and will be responsible for launches in Canada.
  • This role focuses on the technical evaluation and execution of products in the Canadian market.
  • The Senior Scientist will have full responsibility for documentation and product development activities of mid-to-low complexity projects.
  • The ideal candidate will have a background in formulation science, process development, and experience in GxP (e.g. GDP, GMP, GCP) compliance.
  • Sitting in the product development formulation team. All paperwork and not lab work. Documentation, meeting, etc.
  • Support Canadian launches. Documentation for the Canadian market.
  • Interacting with the product development team, deep dive into the data and check if a product is being launched in Canada after a few years in US. Check if the product meets the Canadian and client compliances.
  • Role: Launch XYZ product in Canada – this person needs to check if they are ok with the launch or do they need to make changes to make sure the product is market complaint.
  • Go into the data, project planning, timelines, meet all milestones, cross functional, working with other r&d teams, make sure all paperwork is n point.
  • Will work with multiple brands under Client.
  • Any similar industry experience will work.
  • No travel required to Canada for CWR.
  • They have Canadian regulatory partner to interact with. They need not know the regulations.
  • Its technical role -product development role – they wont be working on actual formulation in the lab.
  • No flexibility on the Budget. But, please feel free to send Josephine a chat note in case the budget is low for the need. They might revisit.
  • Bachelor is minimum needed.
  • Fresh out of college will work with Phd.
  • Hybrid Schedule.
  • This will be technical laison role. Someone who has a worked in a Canada launch would be good to have but, not really needed.
  • Reviews documents and makes sure it is up to the mark.
  • Strong documentation experience in the same industry might work. Need to have some technical background. No data science or documentation person. Technical background in product development formulation role is needed. Must be able to read the documents and understand them.
  • Reporting experience would be helpful.


Key Requirements and Technology Experience:


  • Key skills; Documentation, "product development", consumer health/pharma/ beauty/ skin/OTC
  • Cross functional team, pulling data and things they need proactively| organized and be able to follow up | Good comm skills.
  • Act as the Product Development representative for regional projects, attend meetings and answer questions as the technical point of contact for PD Canada.
  • Contribute to project planning, timeline management, and project milestone deliverables to ensure successful project.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including other R&D functions, Commercial Marketing, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, and Manufacturing, to achieve project goals.
  • Conduct product feasibility for Canada, review existing data and determine if any gaps, connect with EM sites or US teams on formulation options
  • Generate documentation and specifications needed for regulatory clearance and product launch.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation for product development processes, including experimental protocols, and technical reports in compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
  • Degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. ·
  • trong knowledge of formulation science, ingredients functionality and compliance, and consumer product market.
  • Understanding of regulatory landscape and requirements for personal care products.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and matrixed o
  • Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences 0-2yr, M.S. with 3 years of relevant experience, or Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience in product and process development within the consumer health industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient Excel skills
