Job description

Production Team Members mix, sort, bake, and inspect baked products, assist with production orders, pack product that meets specifications, and other related duties as may be assigned by management from time to time. ย IN THIS ROLEย YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO WORK ON DIFFERENT LINES AS BUSINESS NEEDS DICTATE.
Responsibilities
  • Consistent and dependable attendance.
  • Ability to stand at a moving conveyor belt for a minimum of 6 hours without a break.
  • Be able to work all 3 lines, for both production and packaging โ€“ Croissant, Cake, and Muffin, per production needs.
  • Ability to work weekends and flexible schedules as business needs demand.
  • Ability to work with or around food allergens of all types.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces. (Spiral, oven area, etc)
  • Required line position rotation during each shift.
  • Must be able to wear/utilize personal protective equipment.
  • Visually inspect finished product for defects to ensure it meets health, safety, and quality standards.
  • Fulfill production orders.
  • Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
  • Palletize up to 10 cases per minute.
  • Pack required amount of croissants for product run.
  • Pack 4 muffins every 3 seconds for all muffin products.
  • Correctly stack, wrap, and tag up to 10 pallets per hour.
  • Place up to 45 trays per minute on the line for both croissant and muffin (12 count); 54 trays per minute for 4 count muffins at full speed.
  • Pinch 55 large croissants per minute.
  • Fold 7 lids per minute (Aldi).
  • While standing pinch and fold product using fingers and both hands at a rapid rate of pace.
  • While standing grab and pack product using fingers and both hands at a rapid rate of pace.
  • While standing assemble packaging materials using fingers and both hands at a rapid rate of pace.
  • While standing grab trays from line and move to racks at a rapid rate of pace.
  • While standing grab trays from racks and move to line at a rapid rate of pace.
  • Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment, including non-slip safety shoes.
  • Follow the Job Safety Analysis for the area, Lockout / Tagout, and the plant safety and quality programs.
  • Rotate to other job tasks regularly as required by the Production Supervisor.
  • Weigh or measure materials, ingredients, or products to ensure conformance to requirements.
  • Dump or pour specified amounts of materials into machinery or equipment.
  • Observe production or monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Add or mix chemicals or ingredients for processing, using hand tools or other devices.
  • Examine materials, ingredients, or products visually or with hands to ensure conformance to established standards.
  • While standing lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually or using hoists.
  • While standing count finished products to determine if product orders are complete.
  • While standing load and unload items from machines, conveyors, and conveyances.
  • Complete assigned tasks during product changeovers as directed by Lead, Operator, and Supervisor
  • Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the associate is required to climb, balance, kneel, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, use hands to finger, grasp, or feel objects, understand and give verbal communication, visually inspect product and work areas, and engage in repetitive motions involving substantial movements (motions) of the wrist, hands and/or fingers.
    Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Work environment: ย Medium work exerting up to 50lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 10lbs. of force regularly to move objects throughout the production area. Ability to work in close proximity to other team members โ€“ within inches. May be required to climb over crosswalks and ladders.
