Ochoa in 1958 now includes multiple sites, a distribution center, and a customer service center, with goals of further expansion in the near future. Our market knowledge, cross-border partnerships, export services, and professional bilingual team have helped make Economy Wholesale Grocers the regional leader in wholesale commerce, serving the U.S. and Mexico.

What we are looking for

Motivated individual who provides an easy, seamless shopping experience by ensuring customers receive the best first and last impressions of the company.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create a welcoming experience by genuinely greeting all guests and providing them a cart.
  • Ensure that all shopping carts and flatbeds are cleared from the parking lot and placed in their designated area. Ensure carts are always available to customers.
  • Remove trash, disinfect, and sanitize each shopping cart and flatbed after each use.
  • Maintain the parking lot in a clean and presentable manner free of all debris throughout the day.
  • Assist customers as needed to include loading their purchases into their vehicles.
  • Evaluate cart condition and request maintenance.
  • Assist other departments as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Retail experience preferred.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish).
  • Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule (To include Saturday and Sunday).
  • Ability to work outdoors in various climates.
