Role Description

The Sales Representative – Stretch Film & Flexible Packaging is a full-time, on-site role based in New York, NY. This position is responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing and growing existing accounts, and driving sales of stretch film and flexible packaging products.

Day-to-day activities include prospecting and cold calling, conducting customer visits and product presentations, preparing quotes and proposals, negotiating pricing and contract terms, and maintaining long-term customer relationships.

The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of the U.S. packaging market and experience developing B2B customers in packaging, plastics, industrial supplies, logistics, warehousing, or related industries. Candidates with an established industry network and existing customer relationships are strongly preferred.

The role also involves collaborating with operations and customer service teams to ensure timely delivery, resolve customer issues, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of B2B sales or business development experience, preferably in stretch film, flexible packaging, plastics, industrial packaging, or a closely related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of the U.S. packaging market and experience developing B2B customers.
  • Established relationships or an existing network within packaging, logistics, warehousing, distribution, or related industries strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to prospect, generate leads, and independently build a strong sales pipeline through cold calling, networking, referrals, and industry research.
  • Strong customer relationship management and account development skills.
  • Competence in negotiation, pricing discussions, and closing deals while maintaining profitable margins.
  • Solid understanding of stretch film, flexible packaging, or similar products, with the ability to communicate product features and benefits effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working independently.
  • Valid authorization to work in the United States and willingness to travel locally for customer visits as needed.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant sales experience will be considered.

Compensation

This is a commission-based sales position with no base salary.

Compensation options:

  • 5% commission, or
  • 20% of net profit
  • Specific commission structure and terms will be discussed during the interview.
