Job description

O'Neal Steel currently has an opening for a Business Development Manager. This role can be based at any of our O'Neal Steel locations. 

General Description:

Responsible for helping the broader organization grow in the areas of territory development and strategic account development.  They will coordinate their efforts with executives, directors, and field sales to offer business ideas to increase revenues.

Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To:

  • Seek out and call on new customers which offer the greatest potential for long-term, sustainable relationships.
  • Identify and research new potential territories and emerging market opportunities
  • Lead or assist in market research and analysis to identify prospective accounts within a particular industry segment
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to large strategic prospective customers
  • Coordinate efforts of large strategic opportunities across multiple regions
  • Review and suggest edits to contract opportunities
  • Attend and drive engagement for appropriate trade shows
  • Organize cross functional teams to close business opportunities
  • Travel is expected in this role

 Required Skills and Education: To qualify for consideration an applicant must possess the following skills.  Possession of these skills is a prerequisite for employment.
