Job description

GEODynamics in Millsap, TX is looking for qualified candidates for Machine Shop Supervisor. Our campus is on the frontage road of Interstate 20 near Millsap, TX. Located west of Fort Worth, it is an easy commute from surrounding communities of Weatherford, Stephenville, Mineral Wells and Aledo.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Accomplishes machine shop employee objectives by orienting, training, assigning, and coaching employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Meets operational standards by implementing production, productivity, quality, and resolving problems, identifying process improvements.
  • Maintains product production by observing process volumes, recommending process adjustments.
  • Records production by completing daily shift production reports.
  • Maintains flow of operations by communicating production status, requirements, and problems.
  • Leads the practices of safe work habits in accordance with OSHA and GEO-specific Health and Safety expectations.

Qualifications, Experience, Skills/Knowledge:
  • Associate's degree in industrial technology or related field or combination or education and experience.
  • 4 - 6 years of experience in a manufacturing or machining environment.
  • Some experience supervising people in production operations.
  • Working knowledge of CNC Machinery and operations.
  • Basic to Intermediate computer skills (MS Office - Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to positively motivate individuals and teams to meet or exceed project expectations.
  • Ability to interface with personnel across all levels of the business.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to safely perform related physical demands of the role:
  • Bending, lifting, stooping, pushing, pulling
  • Sitting for extended periods of time
  • Repetitive motion - Hands/wrist/shoulder
  • Ability to lift up-to 50 pounds (over 50 pounds requires a team lift).

Work Environment/Environmental Conditions:
  • Occasional exposure to hazardous chemicals, fumes, and gases
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures
