We are seeking a human resources professional with generalist experience, human resources compliance knowledge, and employment law interest to join our exceptional team and utilize your expertise to coach business owners and managers to success by delivering practical and informed HR-related advice.

About CEDR:

At CEDR HR Solutions, we're on a mission to help healthcare employers build better workplaces through expert HR guidance, practical education, and innovative technology.

What sets CEDR apart is our people and the core values that guide how we work together. We are a high-expectation, high-support workplace where talented people are encouraged to stretch themselves while knowing they have a team behind them. We challenge each other to deliver excellence, think strategically, innovate continuously, and become brilliant in the basics of our work. Our culture is rooted in accountability, ownership, collaboration, and a shared commitment to delivering value for our members and each other. These principles are reflected in our core values of Integrity, Innovation, Model Workplace, Clarity, Value, Respect, Growth, Current, Strategic, Profitable, and Collaboration.

About the Job:

CEDR HR Advisors provide support, guidance, consultation, and training to doctors and practice managers every day. While embracing an "employer mindset", we offer an informed, confidential, neutral, and non-judgmental perspective. Our focus is on avoiding the conflicts that can lead to a claim or liability, arming our members with appropriate documentation, and collaborating to reach practical, compliant business solutions.

In this job you will:

  • Coach and train managers and doctors on employment law topics and HR best practices via phone and email.
  • Prepare HR documentation for members, such as corrective actions, leave of absence letters, offer letters, etc.
  • Conduct handbook customization sessions.
  • Provide business and people management guidance.
  • Participate in research, writing, and speaking projects.

What's in it for you?

This is a direct-hire, full-time position. At CEDR, we believe great work happens when talented people are trusted, challenged, and supported. We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes subsidized medical, dental, and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) plan with employer match, and an employee assistance program.

Infant (up to 6 months) and dog-friendly workplace. Annual and performance bonus programs, monthly utility stipend, paid parental leave, and a free gym membership to our on-site gym. Work from home two (2) days per week. All of this, plus a collaborative, casual, and relaxed work environment with a dedication to a healthy work-life balance and supportive, caring co-workers.

As our perfect match, your history likely shows:

  • Experience as an HR professional with employee relations and employment law application expertise (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP preferred but not required).
  • Proficiency in HR compliance, risk management, and employment law.
  • Experience coaching others to success.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to contribute positively in a team environment.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective active listening and reading comprehension skills.
  • Confident phone presence.
  • Strong ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work independently and autonomously.
  • Proven ability to grasp information quickly and probe effectively when required.
  • Effective problem-solving and follow-through skills.
  • Strong computer skills and technical capabilities.

We offer challenging work that makes a positive difference in a collaborative environment where you'll have the opportunity to learn, grow, and make an impact. We believe, "Better workplaces make better lives." Care to join us?

We welcome you to enhance your submission with a cover letter telling us why you would make a great addition to our team; we promise - if you send it, we'll read it!
