Job Description

Position Purpose:


The Director, Systems Integration, should have substantial experience managing the development and support of the Integration project. Strong experience in one or more integration tools such as Boomi, MuleSoft or other tools is required. The DB&T Director will be required to work with application owners, project managers, architects, vendors and the leadership team to understand and drive organizational needs and project requirements, review effort estimations deliverables, and manage finances. This role will manage a team of integration engineers to work with internal and external partners to design, develop, and make program and configuration changes, as well as maintain complex integration software working within the middleware and internal and external BI systems and systems integrations.


Primary Duties/Responsibilities:



  • Responsible for the design, implementation, enhancement, and support of integration solutions.

  • Provide leadership to the portfolio that owns the integration between applications.

  • Provides technical thought leadership on integration solutions.

  • Identify opportunities to improve tools and approaches going forward.

  • Provide high-level estimates for Integration work in support of project estimation (including capital projects).

  • Serve as subject matter expert for primary interface engine (ex. Dell Boomi).

  • Serve as team leader for Integration resources, completing necessary managerial functions (such as status reporting) for the team.

  • Mentor and coach Integration team members.

  • Collaborate with end-users to understand requirements and design solutions.

  • Evaluate options and develop the technical design.

  • Work with development teams so that proper patterns/practices are used to deliver software solutions.

  • Represent integration resources and demand in planning sessions with a keen eye on delivery.

  • Perform analysis of customer and vendor requirements and create detailed technical design specifications for high complexity user interfaces/integrations.

  • Read, analyze and interpret business and functional requirements into technical solutions. Work with team and peers in DB&T to implement best practices procedures for technology and coding standards.

  • Maintain detailed systems documentation, including user manuals and technical manuals.

  • Modify, expand and update applications in a CI/CD model.

  • Perform bug fixing, troubleshooting, and assisting in user support for existing applications.

  • Assess Technical Debt and Priorities with the development teams and leads to make sure the solutions that are built are sustainable and are production-ready.

  • Responsible for Development skill assessments and making sure Developers are getting the proper feedback around the work that they are doing.

  • Proven ability to quickly understand client requirements and translate them into software developer requirements.

Qualifications

Education/Experience/Background:



  • Bachelor’s Degree, Concentration in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.

  • An advanced degree would be plus.

  • 10+ years of development experience.


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:



  • At least 3 years of Boomi experience and with an overall experience of 5+ years with other middleware or integration platforms preferably Dell Boomi, Informatica, Mulesoft, BizTalk, etc.

  • Understanding of integration architecture options such as SoA and APIs.

  • Knowledge and experience of APIs, Web Services, ESB, SOA; building workflow/processes leveraging common frameworks.

  • Experience designing and developing SOAP and REST-based web service interfaces using XML, JSON.

  • Strong experience managing, deploying, supporting APIs.

  • Experience to design and implement small to large scale integration solutions adopting various technologies.

  • Maintain and document all service contracts and promote the optimal level of communications.

  • Experienced in delivering integrated solutions using Agile, Test/Model-Driven techniques.

  • Experience with SQL and relational database.

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum development.

  • Experience with Test Driven Development (Unit Testing).


Required Certification/Licenses/Training:



  • Certifications in Mulesoft or similar products.
