Job description

Join Wasatch Behavioral Health as a Full-Time Accountant at our Westpark location in Provo, Utah! This position offers a competitive wage of $26.06-$33.01/hour and the opportunity to support the financial operations of one of Utah's largest community behavioral health organizations. As an Accountant, you'll use your attention to detail, analytical skills, and accounting expertise to help maintain accurate financial records, support reporting and reconciliation processes, and ensure responsible financial management. If you're organized, dependable, and enjoy working with numbers while contributing to a mission-driven organization, we'd love to have you join our team!
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Compensation: $26.06-$33.01 DOE and Education

What You'll Do as an Accountant
  • Maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation.
  • Prepare, review, and reconcile financial transactions and accounts.
  • Assist with financial reports, audits, and month-end and year-end processes.
  • Monitor expenditures and help ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
  • Research discrepancies and resolve accounting issues with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with departments across the agency to support financial needs.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure financial information is handled appropriately.
  • Perform administrative duties, attend meetings, and assist with special financial projects as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous accounting or financial experience required; government or healthcare accounting experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and accounting or financial software.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Commitment to accuracy, integrity, and responsible financial practices.
