Job description

Behavioral Health Technician (BHT)

Positions covers Phoenix and surrounding communities.

Status: Part Time Hourly FLSA classification: Non-Exempt

Summary of the Position: Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) is a non-traditional way of providing intense individualized mental health interventions and support services in a variety of community-based settings to children/adolescents with psychiatric diagnoses and their families. This is an hourly, part time position.

  • Provide individualized mental health interventions and support services in various community settings (e.g., in the home, at school, camps, daycares, etc.)
  • Implement specific treatment goals as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team.
  • Monitor and document behaviors and progress
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and adjust treatment plans.
  • Flexible schedule, based around the availability of youth and families served.

Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Services.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in behavioral health services or Behavioral Health Certification, Behavior Analysis Certification, or Certification as a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT).
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule

Reimbursement based on education and experience.

Bi-Lingual/Spanish Speaking is a plus but not required.

Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current automobile insurance coverage is required. Mileage reimbursement available.
