Position Overview

Flex Well Therapy Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our team in Fort Lee, New Jersey. Work Environment

The successful applicant will work onsite in our outpatient office located in Fort Lee, New Jersey. Our facility is designed to facilitate rehabilitation through state-of-the-art equipment and a collaborative environment. You will be a part of a multi-disciplinary team where effective communication and teamwork are vital. Typical shifts for this role are Monday through Thursday from 3 PM to 7 PM, with a half-day on Friday, affording a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities

The Physical Therapist will encompass a broad range of responsibilities which include:

• Conducting comprehensive screenings, testing, and evaluations to diagnose injuries, diseases, and disabilities, subsequently developing individualized treatment plans.
• Educating and training patients and their caregivers about treatment options and rehabilitation strategies.
• Applying knowledge of physical therapy techniques to various demographics, including neonates, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.
• Utilizing evidence-based practices to perform both subjective and objective evaluations and ensuring consistent integration of therapy plans with physician referrals.
• Maintaining meticulous documentation for patient progress and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to align on care objectives and rehabilitation goals.
• Overseeing the rehabilitation services provided by assistants and aides to ensure high-quality care across all interactions.
• Participating in ongoing training and development, focusing on both personal growth and enhancing the capabilities of our team as a whole.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role will focus on a diverse patient population, allowing you to apply your skills across different age groups and physical health challenges. You will encounter a rich variety of cases that enhance your clinical expertise while contributing significantly to our mission of improving patient outcomes through personalized care.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A valid and current state Physical Therapist license.
• A Bachelor’s degree, with a Master's degree or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred from an accredited physical therapy program.
• A minimum of one year of clinical experience within a healthcare setting.
• Demonstrable skills in working with the target populations typically seen in the outpatient therapy environment.
• Physical ability to perform job tasks including lifting, walking, and manual dexterity.

Preferred Experience

Experience in outpatient settings and familiarity with multi-modal physical therapy treatments are advantageous. Additional certifications or specialized training in pediatric or geriatric rehabilitation will be viewed favorably, as they enrich the expertise you bring to our diverse patient base.
