Job description

The Vice President of Claims leads Aimbridge's Workers' Compensation and Liability Claims programs with a focus on strategy, cost control, and stronger claim outcomes. This role guides a lean claims team, partners across the business, and drives practices that reduce risk and long-term insurance costs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; 8-10 years of progressive risk management or claims leadership experience.
  • Experience managing Workers' Compensation and liability claims across multi-state, multi-site environments.
  • Hospitality, real estate, or multi-site operations experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, influence outcomes, and manage complex or high-severity claims.
  • Strong legal, regulatory, analytical, financial, RMIS, and incident reporting expertise.
  • Executive communication skills with sound judgment, discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Workers' Compensation Leadership
  • Lead the Workers' Compensation program and team, driving early return-to-work, claim closure, and reduced indemnity exposure.
  • Manage cost mitigation, claim trends, reserves, compliance, and reporting to improve outcomes across jurisdictions.
  • Partner with TPAs, legal, HR, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely, compliant, and cost-effective claim handling, including complex leave and accommodation matters.

Liability Claims Oversight
  • Oversee liability claims programs, including General Liability, Auto Liability, and other casualty exposures across the portfolio.
  • Lead investigation, evaluation, litigation, and resolution strategy in partnership with the Liability Claims Manager, TPAs, legal counsel, and carriers.
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex or high-severity claims, coverage disputes, settlements, and KPI reporting.

Claims Strategy & Cost Management
  • Oversee claims governance, authority levels, and quality assurance reviews across Workers' Compensation and liability programs.
  • Use claim analytics, dashboards, and reporting to track performance, trends, and financial impact.
  • Improve incident and claim data capture to support more accurate analytics and benchmarking.

Risk & Program Development
  • Lead claims-driven initiatives to improve safety, operations, and loss outcomes.
  • Partner with safety and operations to identify root causes and address key loss drivers.
  • Use claims insights to support prevention strategies, training, and operating procedures.

TPA & Carrier Management
  • Support insurance program strategy by providing loss analysis, claim trend reporting, and advocacy during renewals.
  • Maintain productive relationships with insurance carriers, third party administrators, defense counsel, and brokers to drive improved claim outcomes and service standards.

Leadership & Governance
  • Lead, develop, and hold the claims team accountable for performance and growth.
  • Ensure compliant, ethical, and consistent claims practices across the organization.
  • Report claim performance, trends, and financial impact to leadership and ownership.
