CTI Foods Overview

CTI Foods provides chef led innovation, quality and value to our customers and serves the restaurant and industrial ingredient industries with proteins, soups, sauces and dressing innovations through our USDA and FDA-approved production facilities in Texas, Idaho, Kentucky, and Iowa.
Job Overview
Directs and coordinates activities of production department(s) in processing materials or manufacturing products in industrial organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates. This position plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.
Responsibilities
1. Reviews production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan department operations.
2. Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
3. Prepares operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications.
4. Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
5. Inspects machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.
6. Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.
7. Resolves worker grievances or submits unsettled grievances to Production Superintendent or Plant Manager for action.
8. Includes staff in planning, decision-making, facilitating and process improvement.
9. Prioritizes and plans work activities; Uses time efficiently; Organizes or schedules other people and their tasks.
10. Promotes, adheres, and is responsible for Food Safety and Quality.
11. Compiles, stores, and retrieves production data.
12. Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
13. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
14. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
15. Any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• High School diploma required
• Associates degree or bachelor's degree preferred
• 2-3 years of food manufacturing supervisory experience paired with leadership skills that inspire, motivate and encourage the floor workers and team leads to ensure that our employees are living the values of CTI Foods.
• A high level of personal integrity (self-esteem, confidence, honesty, and respect) are necessary qualities for selection and success to jump into our existing infrastructure without skipping a beat.
