Job description

We are looking for Oiler/General Laborer to join our team in Lewisville, TX. This position helps our Concrete Pump Operators on the job sites. A strong work ethic and ability to make decisions when it's stressful will make you a standout ! You must have a current Driver's License and clean driving record.
Responsibilities
  • Assists in setting up, uses and maintains tools and equipment associated with the concrete pumps mounted on trucks.
  • Assists in the loading and unloading of concrete placing systems and attachments
  • Assists the backing of Ready-Mix trucks to the pump
  • Routinely checks for leaks
  • Contain ALL hydraulic or diesel leaks
  • When needed, shovel spilled concrete back into the hopper
  • Ensure that water is in the water box
  • Assists operator(s) with maintenance at the yard with replacing blown pipe, elbow, and gasket replacement.
  • Cleaning of all pumps thoroughly to include, but is not limited to: Cab, remotes, side boxes, system, pump and boom) pipe, hoses, and clamps
  • Assist with pre- and post-trip inspections
  • Setting up and handling system (pipe amp; hoses) for concrete pumps
  • Maintain clean vehicles, job sites, locker rooms and yard at all times.
  • Follow all safety protocols as outlined by OSHA and Safety Manager
  • Regular and punctual attendance
  • Ability to operate in a stressful environment
Qualifications
  • Prior construction experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Previous experience maintaining pumps
  • Ability to troubleshoot minor mechanical problems
  • Clear understanding of equipment and safety manuals
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with customers and ready mix producers
  • Ability to work professionally with customers and ready mix producers, even in stressful situations.
  • High School Education or GED
Physical Demands
  • Ability to lift up to 80 pounds above your head
  • Ability to push amp; pull up to 80 pounds
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time (10 – 12+ hours per day)
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends when necessary
  • Possess good manual dexterity to climb on and around the pump truck in all weather conditions common to the north Texas area
  • Ability to walk on uneven terrain, cleated walkways and wire mesh
  • Ability/willingness to work with outside temperatures that include extreme heat, cold, wind and rain
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time while driving
