The Allied Behavioral Health Center is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dedicated team. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough initial consultations and document findings meticulously, following each client through their treatment journey.
  • Evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health using evidence-based methods and assessments.
  • Develop customized intervention and recovery plans tailored to the individual needs of clients, families, or groups.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that promote healing, personal development, and coping strategies.
  • Regularly monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to meet evolving needs and goals.
  • Collaborate effectively with a variety of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, doctors, and social workers, to create comprehensive intervention plans.
  • Engage in ongoing follow-up with clients who may need additional medical care or support services.
  • Identify any behaviors that may hinder recovery and implement preventative strategies to support client progress.
  • Provide education and support to families and caregivers to help them manage mental health challenges effectively.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with individuals and groups from diverse backgrounds facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and more. Our clients are looking for compassionate guidance and evidence-based treatment options to navigate their unique struggles.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Nevada.
  • A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
  • Substantial knowledge of therapy practices and methodologies relevant to diverse populations.
  • Proficient in using electronic health record systems, with AVATAR experience preferred.
  • A thorough understanding of both physical and emotional health conditions, including addiction disorders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, emphasizing clarity and empathy.
  • Approachable, empathetic, and exceptional interpersonal skills to foster effective therapeutic relationships.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience as a mental health counselor with a track record of successful client outcomes.
  • Familiarity with the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
  • In-depth knowledge of psychopharmacology and the effects of medications prescribed by treating psychiatrists.
