Job description

Flex Retail Associate — Job DescriptionAbout the Position

The Flex Retail Associate is a back-end focused role at iSmash Charleston. You are responsible for keeping the entire operation running—rooms set, gear ready, inventory handled, and the space clean and reset at all times.

This is not a stand-around job. You will be moving, lifting, cleaning, and resetting constantly. When the front gets busy, you step in and help. When it slows down, you go right back to keeping the back-end tight.

If you like staying busy and getting things done, you’ll fit. If not, this isn’t the role.

Duties & Responsibilities

Back-End Responsibilities (Primary Focus)

  • Receive, restock, and organize inventory
  • Prepare activity packages and fully reset rooms between every session
  • Clean, sanitize, and prep all customer gear—no shortcuts
  • Keep trash and debris cleared out continuously throughout the day
  • Maintain overall cleanliness and organization of the entire facility
  • Handle opening and closing cleaning without being told

Front-End Support (As Needed)

  • Jump in to greet and assist customers during rushes
  • Answer questions and guide customers when needed
  • Help with check-ins, check-outs, and POS if the front is backed up
  • Communicate with the team to keep everything flowing

Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • No experience needed—but you need to be a hard worker
  • Must be able to lift heavy items regularly
  • Comfortable being on your feet and moving most of your shift
  • Able to work fast without cutting corners
  • Takes initiative—if something needs to be done, you do it
  • Reliable, team-oriented, and not afraid of getting your hands dirty
  • Can handle a fast-paced, high-energy environment without slowing down
