Job description

CompleteRx is collaborating with Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare to recruit candidates for the following two full-time positions located in Tallahassee, FL:
  • Pharmacy Tech IV
  • Medication Reconciliation Technician (Pharmacy Technician - Bixler ER)

Available Schedules:
  • 7:30am - 4:00pm
  • 2:30pm - 11:00pm

Hospital Overview:
The employer is Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare located in Tallahassee, Florida.

Required Education:
High school diploma (or equivalent) and successful completion of a Florida Board of Pharmacy approved pharmacy technician training program.
Required Experience:
Three (3) years of pharmacy experience.
Required Certification/License/Registry:
Certification: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or (NHA)
Licensed: Possess current pharmacy technician registration in the State of Florida.
Responsibilities/Job Summary:
  • Under the direct supervision of the Director/Pharmacy, Supervisor/Pharmacy, or a Pharmacist, performs a variety of technical and clerical duties for the hospital-wide unit dose drug distribution system and the intravenous admixture program.
  • Responsible for maintaining confidential reports, entering and retrieving data utilizing the computer system, preparing intravenous medications (IV) (e.g., chemotherapeutic preparations, hyperalimentations, and antibiotics), filling automated medication dispensing systems with a supply of unit dose medications, procuring and filling requests for pharmaceutical supplies, delivering supplies to patient care areas, and managing pharmacy automation.
  • Engages in specialized departmental activities (e.g., documenting medication histories, chemotherapy IV compounding, preparing sterile IV medications, inventorying narcotics, or maintaining pharmacy inventory).
  • Assists in training/educating lower-level pharmacy technicians. Direct Supervision. A pharmacist gives specific instructions on all assignments.
  • A pharmacist reviews the technician's work for completeness and accuracy, or the technician performs tasks with inherent checks built into the nature of the work.
