We are now hiring for a Primary Inspection Technician! A Primary Inspection Technician at Medline ReNewal is responsible for inspecting and performing final assembly of reprocessed devices in the Redmond, Oregon facility. All work performed must comply with Medline ReNewal's standard operating procedures as well as FDA guidelines to ensure patient safety. A Primary Inspection Technician must have an excellent memory to recall each device and what it should look like in final form to ensure that all steps in cleaning and reprocessing have been met before sending the device to the packaging team.

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Inspect all the devices that have been cleaned and reprocessed to ensure they meet or exceed original manufacturer standards

  • Compare identifying records in computer and paper copy to the items received in batches for accuracy in device identification, noting any rejections or exceptions as necessary

  • Ensure the counts of devices are exact matches to computer and paperwork orders

  • Use tools such as microscopes, rulers, calipers and other equipment to evaluate and inspect quality of device

  • Use scales to weigh products used to complete assembly of devices to guarantee consistency and accuracy

  • Use generators and other power devices to test medical devices to ensure in proper working order

  • Assemble any devices that have separated pieces to manufacturing standards

  • Complete paperwork and prepare batches of devices for packaging team

  • Assist with other departments as needed to ensure production output meets or exceeds goals

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be able to communicate in basic English with management and co-workers (Speak and basic reading ability required)

  • Sit or stand for 10 hour shifts with appropriate meal and rest breaks

  • Work in a room with washing machines, dryers, racks, tables, and limited room for movement

  • Work in a room with continuous moderate to high level of noise

  • Lift, push, or pull batches of devices averaging 50 lbs up to 50 times per day

  • Perform repetitive tasks, some of which are small motion tasks through the entire shift

  • Focused and detail oriented to be able to identify product discrepancies or flaws and take appropriate action

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Any prior work experience in a manufacturing role is preferred

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$16.00 - $23.25 Hourly

The actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
