A well-established, team-oriented company in Northeast Portland that processes steel, brass, and other metal bar stock to precise customer specifications is looking to add a member to their team. Their products support companies in industries including aerospace and firearms manufacturing.

As a CNC Machine Operator, you'll play an important role in the facility by operating CNC saw machines to accurately cut metal bars to specific dimensions. This is a great opportunity for an experienced machine operator who enjoys hands-on work, precision, and learning new technology.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Operate CNC saw machines to cut steel, brass, and other metal bar stock to customer specifications
  • Enter dimensions into the CNC machine's computer interface

  • Use a tape measure and basic math to calculate dimensions
  • Load and unload metal bars from the machine

Schedule:
Swing Shift | Monday-Friday
1:00 PM – 9:30 PM

What We're Looking For:
  • At least 3 months of machine operating experience within the last 6 months
  • Experience making machine adjustments or changing machine functions
  • Able to read a tape measure accurately down to 1/16th of an inch
  • Comfortable performing basic multiplication and division
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with precise measurements
  • Comfortable using computer screens and learning new technology
  • Able to regularly lift approximately 50 lbs. when loading and unloading metal bars
  • Steel-toed boots required and must be provided by the employee
  • Forklift experience is preferred but not required. You'll receive training and certification on their sit-down forklifts.
