Job Description
As a Security Officer Gated Community in Laguna Niguel, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a residential location, you will monitor entry points, verify visitors and credentials, and support residents with professional customer service and communication. You will maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents while using teamwork, integrity, and a caring approach. What You'll Do:
  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor and vendor authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access within the residential community.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around community access points, common areas, and perimeter locations, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
  • Maintain accurate logs, visitor records, and incident documentation related to access control activities and other security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
