Job description

Job Overview:
This role is aligned to the Coffee Operating Unit
Material Handler FLEX - Essex Junction, VT
As the Material Handler you will execute storage, material handling, replenish and fulfillment functions within the Plant while meeting our World Class Manufacturing and Distribution standards.
Shift & Schedule:
Flexible scheduling that helps balance your work and personal life
We have 6, 8, or 12-hour shifts that will be available for pickup by FLEX employees through our mobile shift management system . This position allows for up to 29 hours of shifts to be picked up per week. Work the hours that are right for you.
Available Fulltime Shifts:
D1: Monday - Wednesday, with alternating Thursdays, from 6:00am - 6:15pm
D2: Friday - Sunday, with alternating Thursdays, from 6:00am - 6:15pm
N1: Monday - Wednesday, with alternating Thursdays, from 6:00pm - 6:15am
N2: Friday - Sunday, with alternating Thursdays, from 6:00pm - 6:15am
What you will do:
  • Move raw materials and finished goods to and from Production areas
  • Complete system transactions for every physical movement in a timely and accurate manner
  • Replenish pick locations as needed
  • Load and unload trucks
  • Operate forklifts within the Safety standards
  • Report forklift maintenance issues/error codes and fill out inspection sheets daily
  • Audit discrepancies with inventory using transaction history
  • Participate and assist inventory cycle counts and reconciliation
  • Support all production teams in plant as needed
  • Pick product for customer orders accurately and efficiently
  • Use People Soft transactions to process orders
  • Operate semi-automatic pallet wrappers as needed

Total Rewards:
  • Pay starting at $25.16 per hour plus applicable shift differential. The employee will move to a higher rate of $26.43 per hour in the quarter after their 6-month anniversary.

Requirements:
  1. Ability to quickly learn and safely operate powered industrial trucks. 6 months of forklift operation experience preferred but not required.
  2. Self-motivated team player with ability to make decisions, communicate and problem solve.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
  1. Lift, push, and pull a minimum 35 pounds and 50 pounds occasionally.
  2. Ability to bend, stretch and sit or stand during entire shift.
  3. Ability to frequently kneel, squat, climb into forklift, bend, stoop, and twist.
  4. Ability to work in a variety of temperature and humidity conditions.
