Starting Pay: $18.00 -$20.00 per hour + bonuses

As a Seasonal Warehouse Fulfillment Clerk with Capitol Distributing, you'll play a key role in ensuring our customers receive the products they need accurately and on time during our peak busy season. Working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, you'll help pick, pack, stage, and prepare orders for shipment while maintaining quality, safety, and productivity standards. This hands-on picker position keeps you moving throughout the day as you work with inventory, verify order accuracy, and support daily warehouse operations. You'll be an important part of the team that keeps our distribution center running efficiently.

Schedule: Fulfillment Clerks (Seasonal) work 4 days per week on a Swing Shift (afternoon tonight) with 1 weekend day required. Shifts will be 10+ hours in duration. Employees will receive 3 consistent days off per week. This position is seasonal full time (Dependent on availability). Upon the close of the season permanent employment may be offered if performance was satisfactory throughout the seasonal period. Overtime may be required based on business needs and operational demands.

Job Responsibilities:

  • The Warehouse Fulfillment Clerk is responsible for picking various stocks to fill customer orders.
  • Use scanning devices to pick products and fulfill customer orders.
  • Places products in totes and packages items correctly.
  • Places Totes/Full case items on sorting belt/rollers for Loading Clerks.
  • Follows safety rules for warehouse
  • Regularly communicates with Coworkers, Leads, and Supervisors for efficiency.
  • Perform other duties and work in other areas as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Warehouse/manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience of working in a warehouse a plus.
  • Ability to lift and move products.
  • Ability to use an electronic scanner to pick and locate items.
  • Occasional overtime to meet order demands.

Working Conditions: Capitol has Ambient Fulfillment Clerks, Refrigerated Fulfillment Clerks, and Freezer Fulfillment Clerks. Individuals working in freezer conditions (-20 degrees) will be provided with adequate cold gear and receive additional hourly differentials. Fulfillment Clerks in the Refrigerated section (30-38 degrees) will be provided with gloves and PPE. This role is very fast-paced and requires a significant amount of movement to meet order demands. Individuals in this position should expect to move throughout modules stocked with product. The position will require general physical movements such as frequently walking, standing, lifting, bending, twisting, occasionally lifting 60+Lbs, and reaching. Individuals will also be expected to follow and understand basic instructions/policies.
