Job description

Flex-N-Gate is a leading manufacturer and supplier of components for the automotive industry, recently ranked 10th of the 150 Top North American Suppliers in "Automotive News." A growing and vital company, Flex-N-Gate provides a great opportunity for hard-working and skilled individuals.

Summary
Position requires the production, assembly and welding of parts for customer plants. Must be familiar with production M.I.G. welding equipment and technologies.
Job Duties
  • Requires ability to operate welding equipment and perform M.I.G. welding on medium to heavy parts; to check parts for quality requirements.

  • The incumbent is responsible for the awareness, understanding, specific responsibilities and management of the Environmental Management System (EMS) as stated in EMS Policy CEVPL.00005
  • The incumbent is responsible for the awareness, understanding, specific responsibilities and management of the Quality Management System (QMS) as stated in CQAM.00001 - Corporate Quality Manual.

Requirements
  • Must have previous experience with production Mig welding. Flex Core welding experience a plus.
  • Must pass a welding test.
  • May be required to record some statistical date and/or meter/gage readings.
  • Attendance, call in, and late/leave early points should be a 2 or better (positive points).
  • Must be able to work in environment with welding fumes from robots.
  • Must be able to lift, twist, bend, squat, climb, stand and walk continuously in close, confined surroundings.
  • Must wear required PPE/welding equipment and required welding clothing
  • General education requirements, including high school math and reading proficiency.
  • Must be able to work mandatory OT as required 6-7 days per week.

Working Conditions
  • Physical ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for up to 10 hours per day with frequent walking, bending, twisting and
