Motivate is seeking a qualified Assistant Operations Manager to oversee assembly, maintenance, and repair for the network of docking stations for Washington DC's bikeshare system. We are looking for a person to supervise our daily operations, with a starting work schedule of Tuesday - Saturday, AM.ย Please note that schedules may be subject to change based on business need.ย 

About the Role

  • Improve the usability of the system via daily oversight of station assembly, repair, and maintenance activities, report on system status and performance
  • Lead teams and individuals to success through the entire employee life cycle for an hourly, union workforce; monitoring employee performance and ensuring engagement
  • Monitor daily operational metrics to support the department meeting all SLA (Service Level Agreement) metrics and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)ย 
  • Oversee large projects both in warehouse and in the field
  • Work in partnership with other operational and support departments to ensure timely and productive workflows for continuous operational improvement
  • Follow safe work practices and create and maintain a working environment

About You

  • You bring prior experience supervising an hourly team operating in both a warehouse and field environment
  • You are a natural leader with the ability to supervise a team to ensure the productivity and engagement of each team member
  • You have strong organizational skills and the ability to successfully lead projects
  • You are mechanically inclined and curious about new technologies, tools, and processes
  • You are technology-proficient in MS Office, apps, email, and can quickly learn different software/applications
  • You are comfortable working outdoors, year-round in all weather conditions,in an urban setting
  • You can lift to 75 pounds, and stand, stoop, bend, kneel, and sit for extended periods
  • You have a valid Driverโ€™s License and can pass a Motor Vehicle Records checkย
