Lonestar Electrical Supply is seeking a Fleet Coordinator to support the efficient operations of the company's vehicle fleet. This role involves coordinating day-to-day activities, managing vendor relationships, ensuring compliance, and providing input on fleet strategies. The Fleet Coordinator will work closely with Operational Leadership to ensure fleet operations align with company goals and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
  • Implement and monitor fleet policies and safety protocols to support company objectives.
  • Coordinate vehicle acquisition, maintenance schedules, repairs, and decommissioning processes with branches.
  • Track fleet expenditures, including fuel, maintenance, and repairs, ensuring cost efficiency.
  • Maintain strong communication with fleet partners to ensure timely and quality vehicle preparation and servicing.
  • Monitor vendor performance, addressing any issues related to quality or delays, and recommend new vendor relationships as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with D.O.T. standards and company safety policies and procedures.
  • Review driver performance monitoring and telematics reporting to ensure adherence to safety and maintenance requirements.
  • Provide detailed reports on fleet performance, including telematics data, maintenance schedules, and safety metrics, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Analyze data on vehicle status, deliveries, and supply chain issues to make informed recommendations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • Solid experience in fleet management or a related field, with knowledge of strategic and operational aspects.
  • Strong understanding of fleet operations, D.O.T. regulations, and safety standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions in a timely manner.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite, with strong Excel skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to travel to various worksites and vendor locations across Texas.

Physical Requirements:
  • Lifting up to 25 lbs. may be required infrequently.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
