Flannery Fire Protection, founded in 1990 and based in Kenosha, WI, is a full-service fire protection company serving Southeast Wisconsin and Northern Illinois with fire sprinkler, fire alarm, fire extinguisher, and kitchen suppression systems, along with inspections, maintenance, repairs, and 24/7 emergency support. Due to continued growth, we are looking to add a Service Sales Coordinator/Estimator to our Kenosha, WI team. In this role, you will estimate costs for the promotion and sale of fire protection system repairs, services, and products to end users, partnering with customers to deliver tailored life safety solutions. Success in this role requires strong technical knowledge of fire protection systems, sharp estimating instincts, excellent communication skills, and a customer-focused approach to building lasting service relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare estimates and bid proposals based on evaluation of documents.
  • Contact existing and potential customers to determine fire protection needs and evaluate installation options.
  • Build relationships with customers to capture a full range of fire protection services across all departments.
  • Assist in developing and carrying out sales strategies.
  • Perform preliminary surveys of existing buildings to determine costs associated with the installation of fire protection services.
  • Provide project management duties when assigned.
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism and ethical behavior when representing the Company.
  • Develop positive working relationships with customers interested in purchasing design, fabrication, and installation of fire sprinkler systems.
  • Apply knowledge of NFPA standards to analyze hazards and identify appropriate design approaches.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates including design, materials, fabrication, equipment, permits, subcontracts, and installation labor for fire protection services.
  • Negotiate, review, and execute price and terms of agreements.
  • Maintain knowledge and a clear understanding of the application of all local and national codes, specifications, and guidelines set forth by authorities having jurisdiction.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to assist the team.

Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred.
  • Six months to one year of related experience and/or training.
  • Good oral and written communication skills when working with all levels of management, employees, clients, external vendors, and other business associates; clearly communicates direction and information; speaks effectively before groups as well as individuals.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and cognitive discipline.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:
  • Mostly quiet office environment, with potential for moderate noise from computers, printers, and light office traffic.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
  • Stooping, bending, reaching, and stretching occur daily.

The wage for this role is $30.00 to $35.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
