ABOUT THE ROLE 
Amrize is currently seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Flag Person to join our team in our aggregate's pits. This is a part-time, temporary position ideal for someone who is committed to maintaining a safe work environment.

This is a contract position till October 31st, 2026. 

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Directing traffic and equipment movement within the pits
  • Ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
  • Assist in daily safety meetings
  • Be self-motivated and dependable
  • Communicating effectively with equipment operators and site personnel
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent 
Required Work Experience: Previous flagging experience is an asset but not required.
Required Training/Certifications: Class-5 license and own means of transportation is required.
Travel Requirements: Drive between Stoney Trail & Glendale Locations 

Additional Requirements: 

  • Able to work from Monday to Saturday, 4-8/hour days, 6:00 AM start.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to work outdoors and tolerate a variety of weather conditions, including rain and heat
  • Willing to work while being exposed to dust, dirt, varying temperatures, loud noises, etc.
  • Oral communication
  • Able to work well with others
