Tunnel Car Wash Team Member – Splash In
Location: Bowie, MD
Pay: $15.50 - $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Part-time (days, nights, weekends, and holidays may be required)
As a Tunnel Car Wash Team Member at Splash In, you’ll help keep our tunnel running safely and smoothly while delivering a fast, friendly experience for every customer. You’ll work outdoors, stay active, and be part of a team that takes pride in doing things the right way—safely, efficiently, and with a “customer-first” mindset.
How you’ll make an impact
  • Operate the tunnel car wash system by following standard procedures and keeping equipment running effectively.
  • Monitor tunnel performance, water/chemical levels, and flag issues promptly to keep operations moving.
  • Greet customers, answer questions, and guide them through payment and wash preparation steps.
  • Help customers prep vehicles for the wash (e.g., guiding onto conveyor, confirming windows closed, antennas retracted, and loose items secured).
  • Follow all safety protocols, including chemical handling, PPE use, and traffic flow guidelines.
  • Maintain cleanliness across the facility (tunnel, wash bay, vac areas, trash, and general site upkeep).
  • Pitch in where needed—tire shine, loading, stocking, greeting—to support efficiency and the overall customer experience.
What we’re looking for
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred) -or- ability to complete employer-paid GED program. 
  • Comfortable working outdoors, assisting customers, and recommending/upselling products when appropriate.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays (car washes operate 7 days a week).
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodation.
