OVERVIEW: The Fixed Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all service, parts and marina department operations. The Fixed Operations Manager will be responsible for the reputation, efficiency and profitability of the service, parts and marina departments. As with all positions within dealerships, this position will have a focus on improving the sales performance and FANS Scores.

KEY TASKS:ย  ย 

  • Preparing an annual operating budget, goals and objectives for each of the fixed operations departments and monitoring the departmentsโ€™ performance.ย 
  • Directing the hiring and training of managers for the service, parts and marina departments.ย 
  • Working with fixed operations department managers to improve profitability and efficiency.ย 
  • Creating and maintaining a positive relationship with customers, ensuring that fixed operations departmentโ€™s staff is helpful, as well as making customer satisfaction a priority to ensure referral and repeat business.ย 
  • Working directly with customers and warranty clerks to administer warranty claims, as well as understanding and applying warranty guidelines.ย 
  • Maintaining compliance with company service and pricing policies.ย 
  • Understand and keep abreast of the federal, state, and local regulations that affect operations, and comply with these regulations as well as hazardous waste disposal and OSHA regulations.ย 
  • Create uniformity by providing the necessary training and guidance to fixed operation department personnel in order to ensure productivity and allow for a consistent and excellent customer experience throughout.ย 
  • Assist the Service Manager in establishing individual goals and training curriculum tailored to each team member.ย 
  • Builds a winning team by recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, evaluating, motivating, and rewarding Department Team Members.ย 
  • Ensure all fixed operation department personnel represent the store in a professional manor and are provided with appropriate uniforms to comply with the company dress code.ย 
  • Cross train others within the departments to assume the responsibilities of the manager in the case of absence.ย 
  • Ensure each and every employee is trained to the appropriate skill level of their position for the utmost success and manufacturer certification.ย 
  • Ensure Marina occupancy and efficiency levels are maintainedย 
  • Ensure the location property is properly maintained and suitably upkept.ย ย 
  • ย Work with construction staff as directed by the Store Manager to coordinate many aspects of the daily development activities during various phases of construction.ย 
  • Keep Store Manager abreast of all trends and opportunities related to the fixed operations areas of the business.ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย
