Job description

Job Duties: Associate, External Product Specialist with Goldman Sachs Wealth Services, L.P in Deerfield, Illinois. Assist clients in managing and operating their individual life insurance and annuity plans, utilizing homegrown tools as well as Firelight, Salesforce, and Ayco Application Request System to analyze data and generate actionable insights for strategic decision-making, including creating client applications, and developing reports. Responsible for annuity and life insurance transactions approval and paperwork check, including federal withholdings, states withholdings tax status, and product availability. Work with assigned Insurance Strategist, advisors, and their teams to review Walletshare reports to review for business opportunities. Provide expertise and answer client questions related to annuity and life application processes, product features and Firelight. Coordinate with Underwriting and Implementation Teams to implement planning including the drafting, review, and execution of trusts for trust-owned policies. Partner with Product Analysis Team to enhance product and strategy portfolios based on changes in the product landscape, market conditions, or applicable tax law. Identify control gaps and inefficiencies and participate in change management process for system enhancements. Mentor and train junior teammates, by leveraging subject matter expertise and providing constructive feedback.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Business, Project Management, Business Administration, or related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior employment must include two (2) years of experience with: working with Excel to analyze voluminous data to create reports and perform analysis using Excel formulas, charts, filtering, and data validation; multiple asset classes, including fixed income, private and public equity, hedge funds, and currencies to conduct financial funding analysis for transfers of client assets; presenting complex analysis in easy-to-understand terms to senior management and internal and external clients; and communicating complex reporting situations through laymen's terms to external and internal clients.
