Job description

Position Summary Guggenheim Investments is seeking an exceptional Associate to join its Corporate Actions team. Reporting to the Vice President of Corporate Actions, this person will join a highly collaborative team responsible for ensuring that mandatory and voluntary Corporate Action Events, as well as Proxy Votes, are processed on a timely and accurate basis. Additionally, this person will assist management with drafting processes and procedures. The Corporate Actions Associate role presents an opportunity to develop a deep understanding of securities structures and financial instruments, in addition to improving existing processes and contributing to impactful projects. The position is located in Chicago. Responsibilities Coordinate the receipt and review of all corporate action documentation. Ensure that appropriate documentation is provided to the front office for decision. Conduct follow-up with the front office to ensure instructions are received in a timely manner. Process events within the system and ensure custodians are properly notified. Reconcile planned actions versus actions that have already occurred. Confirm action completed in system matches custodian's record of events. Forward any proceed checks received to custodian for deposit into client accounts. File related documentation for each resolved corporate action. Run an event report on a weekly basis, including active events for the week and status. Distribute weekly event report to appropriate Investment Managers. Process monthly and quarterly proxy notices. Forward proxy information to appropriate Investment Managers. Return Investment Managers feedback to appropriate contact for voting. Track Amendments and Restructures on Bank Loans Assets and process changes in appropriate systems. Qualifications Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree 2+ years of experience in corporate actions or similar field Knowledge of the Fixed Income, Private Assets, and Bank Loans Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products is required with a particular emphasis on Excel and Access Process monthly and quarterly proxy notices Preferred Qualifications Excellent communication skills (oral and written) Team oriented individual with ability to work well with diverse groups Organized, detail oriented and extremely thorough while having confidence and communication skills to ensure work processes are completed accurately and appropriately Demonstrated problem solving skills and ability to take initiative and critically analyze processes and procedures in a push toward constant improvement Experience with Swift Messaging Salary Range Annual base salary between $100,000.00-$105,000.00 Guggenheim is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran. #J-18808-Ljbffr
