Trade Support Analyst Consultant for direct banking client in NYC

Work Location - midtown Manhattan, NYC
Work schedule: Onsite 5 days

Trade Support Analyst to handle all equity applications .

- Experience in front office trading applications within Equities, including U.S. Market Making, ETFs, Global Program Trading.

- Looking for business background and technical knowledge with equities, FIX Protocol experience with solid documentation and SQL reporting capabilities.

- Troubleshoot issues related to trading and front office.

- Someone who knows equity business and they would be facing traders, talking with compliance and other internal stake holders.

- Level 1 to 1.5 in handling the software in trading system - can communicating properly, critical thinking.

Job Description:

  • Provide direct front office technology support to Equities traders, middle office users, and Compliance teams on the trading floor
  • Monitor trading platforms and FIX network connectivity to ensure system stability and availability
  • Diagnose and resolve real time trading issues, including detailed investigation of compliance related inquiries
  • Communicate major incidents, impacts, and resolution status clearly to key stakeholders and senior management
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from traders, ensuring proper tracking, prioritization, and transparency
  • Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications for vendor and internal development teams to deliver enhancements
  • Share end-to-end business workflows with Support and QA teams to strengthen regression testing and operational readiness
  • Maintain and continuously improve the knowledge base, support runbooks, scripts, and technical documentation

Qualifications:

  • Over 5 years of experience supporting mission critical front office trading applications within Equities, including U.S. Market Making, ETFs, Electronic Trading, Global Program Trading, and Convertible Bonds
  • Strong understanding of high touch trading workflows, FIX protocol, OMS platforms, IOI processing, market data, and CTM flows, Tidal or other scheduler systems
  • Proven experience handling regulatory and compliance driven requests and inquiries, including Reg NMS, Reg SHO, CAT, ACT, ORF, and TRACE
  • Proficient with, SQL querying, JIRA for issue tracking, and Excel for operational analysis and reporting
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships and collaborate across front office, middle office, and control functions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical issues to nontechnical stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, with the ability to prioritize and execute effectively in a fast paced, high-pressure trading environment
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools is a plus
