Duties:
- Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to determine the layout and assembly of ductwork
- Use a variety of tools and equipment, including forklifts, pipe threading machines, press brake machines, soldering irons, plasma cutting tools, and other hand tools
- Fit-up and assemble all types of structural steel
- Fitters may also be required to fit-up and tack small components which can easily be handled by one person.
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects
