Job Title: Fitter/Fabricator/

Job Overview: We are seeking a entry level Fitter/Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the assembly, installation, and repair of metal structures and components. They should possess a understanding of metal fitting techniques and be capable of interpreting technical drawings to ensure precise assembly. The role requires a attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to determine fitting requirements.
  • Measure, cut, and shape metal components using a variety of tools and equipment such as saws, drills, grinders, and welding torches.
  • Weld, braze, or solder components together to assemble fabricated structures, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications.
  • Inspect finished assemblies to verify conformance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Perform repairs and modifications to existing metal structures as needed.
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other team members to optimize fabrication processes and solve technical challenges.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, and adhere to safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
  • Continuously monitor and report on project progress, identifying any issues or deviations from plans.

Requirements:

  • Certification or training in welding and metal fabrication is desirable.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various positions for extended periods.
  • Must be able to pass a weld test.
