Job description

Since its founding in 1992, Edgewood Properties has established itself as a leading real estate development and property management company. With corporate headquarters in New Jersey, the company is on a course of growth leading to activities across the nation.

Given ongoing construction and development plans, our current apartment portfolio of 6,000 plus units is expected to double in the next couple of years and rise to over 12,000 units in the next five years.

Given our rapid portfolio growth, coupled with ownership's desire to develop and hold rather than sell, the timing is ideal for qualified candidates to come on-board.

We're currently seeking a Event and Lifestyle Planner for our multi-family properties

with at least 3-5+  years of experience.

Candidate will work full-time at our corporate HQ in Piscataway, NJ

This position will involve traveling to our various properties in NJ

Position Overview

We are looking for a creative, energetic, and highly organized Event and Lifestyle Planner to help elevate the resident experience across our multifamily residential portfolio.

This is more than an event planning role. We are looking for someone who can create a sense of community, bring our amenities to life, build resident engagement, and make our properties places where residents genuinely enjoy living.

  • Plan and execute resident events, including seasonal events, food trucks, pool parties, fitness and wellness programs, family activities, social events, and resident appreciation programs.
  • Develop an annual resident engagement and event calendar across the portfolio.
  • Lead clubhouse grand openings and amenity launches from planning through execution.
  • Spend significant time onsite during the first 30 days of a new clubhouse opening to ensure the space is operating successfully, residents are engaged, and amenities are being utilized.
  • Create programming designed to activate clubhouses, pools, fitness centers, outdoor kitchens, lounges, game rooms, dog parks, and other amenities.
  • Develop creative ideas to increase participation in underutilized amenities.
  • Create and coordinate social media content, including event promotions, photos, videos, reels, resident engagement posts, amenity highlights, and event recaps.
  • Work with Marketing to ensure our social media reflects active, engaging communities.
  • Develop resident newsletters, event calendars, invitations, flyers, and other communications.
  • Regularly visit properties and interact directly with residents to understand what they enjoy, what they want, and where we can improve.
  • Gather resident feedback and turn it into actionable ideas and improvements.
  • Partner with Property Management, Leasing, Maintenance, Marketing, and Operations to improve the overall resident experience.
  • Manage event vendors, entertainment, food and beverage, budgets, setup, execution, and follow-up.
  • Support resident retention through memorable experiences, community-building initiatives, and consistent engagement.

  • 3–5+ years of experience in multifamily, hospitality, events, resident experience, lifestyle programming, marketing, or a related field.
  • Creative, outgoing, and comfortable interacting directly with residents.
  • Strong event planning and project management skills.
  • Experience creating social media content and promoting events.
  • Strong hospitality and customer-service mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple properties, events, vendors, and deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel between properties and work occasional evenings and weekends for events and openings.
  • Someone who takes ownership and sees an idea through from concept to successful execution.

In return, we offer competitive compensation, along with comprehensive benefits, including medical and dental and vision benefits,

life insurance, a 401(k) and a corporate team environment with opportunity of advancement.

Also includes on-site company fitness gym, discounts on housing and home appliances.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.
