Job description

Seeking a part-time board-eligible/board-certified General Surgeon who is interested in living and working in a unique and beautiful rural location.   • Part-time position at 0.75 FTE
  • Sign-on bonus and relocation support offered with this position
  • Can offer J1 and H1B visa support
  • Experienced physician with ability to obtain an Alaska medical license required
  • $5,000 annually for CMEs
  • Ideal candidate will have a passion for rural medicine and a dedication to high quality care
Where You'll Work
Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center is the sole provider of acute and emergency care for Kodiak Island. Accredited by The Joint Commission and designated as a Level IV trauma center by the State of Alaska, this 25-bed critical-access hospital plays an indispensable role in the lives of 14,000 Kodiak residents, the Coast Guard base and neighboring villages. With a state-of-the-art MRI and 64-slice CT, this hospital receives high marks, and providers are able to offer advanced care.
