Position Summary:
The Staff Accountant provides organized and detailed accounting and treasury functions within the Finance division. This person is responsible for performing the below functions for Acumen, LLC as well as companies that are contracted with Acumen, LLC.
  • Daily high-volume cash reconciliations for multiple accounts
  • Daily cash-flow monitoring and cash forecasting for multiple accounts
  • Daily reconciliation between banking activity and accounting system
  • Recording of daily cash movements between accounts
  • Communicate with internal departments to reconcile cash differences
  • Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and transactional review support
  • Support and assist with inquiries from other department providing a timely responses / resolution
  • Correspond with banks and other agencies for issue resolution and responses to inquiries in a professional manner
  • Update and maintain policies & procedure documentation
  • Assist with coordination and responses to external auditors
  • Meet the contractual commitments to client(s) through timely and accurate reporting and issue resolution
  • Perform other job-related duties as directed by supervisor

Requirements
RESPONSIBILITIES AS A TEAM MEMBER :

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
  • Bachelors in accounting
  • 3+ years' experience in accounting, at both transactional and analysis level
  • Experience with multi-company / divisional financials and job costing highly desirable
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; strict attention to detail
  • Excellent computer skills: Excel (intermediate to advanced level required), Word and E-mail. NetSuite experience is a plus
  • High standards of integrity and business ethics
  • Ability to work effectively with other internal and external departments
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
