Associate Attorney - Litigation
Established (150+ Years) Premier Firm Seeking Commercial Litigation Associate for Litigation in Boston, Massachusetts!
 
An established international law firm with more than 150 years in practice is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate with 3-6 years of experience to join its Boston, Massachusetts office on a hybrid basis. This associate will work alongside experienced trial lawyers on complex commercial disputes, contract claims, business torts, real estate and construction litigation, hospitality-related disputes, corporate conflicts, and other general litigation matters. The role offers substantial involvement in all phases of litigation, direct collaboration with partners, and opportunities to assume meaningful responsibility for sophisticated matters involving prominent companies, investors, developers, property owners, and other business clients.

Qualifications
  • Three to five years of commercial litigation experience gained at a sophisticated law firm
  • Admission to the Massachusetts Bar or eligibility to obtain admission promptly
  • Experience handling complex contract disputes, business tort claims, real estate matters, construction disputes, corporate conflicts, or related commercial litigation
  • Strong legal research, analytical writing, and oral advocacy skills
  • Experience drafting pleadings, dispositive motions, discovery requests, briefs, and other litigation materials
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and contribute effectively within collaborative case teams
  • Excellent academic credentials and professional references
  • Federal or state judicial clerkship experience is valued but not required
 
Responsibilities
  • Represent clients in complex commercial and general litigation matters in state and federal courts
  • Handle disputes involving contracts, business torts, real estate, construction, hospitality, corporate relationships, and other business issues
  • Draft complaints, answers, motions, briefs, discovery requests, correspondence, and case strategy materials
  • Conduct legal research and analyze complicated factual and legal issues
  • Manage written discovery, document review, fact development, and electronic discovery workflows
Prepare for and participate in depositions, evidentiary hearings, mediations, arbitrations, trials, and appeals
Interview witnesses and coordinate with experts, consultants, and client representatives
Develop litigation strategies in close collaboration with partners and clients
Provide practical risk assessments and business-focused recommendations throughout each matter
Maintain direct client contact and contribute to the efficient management of cases
Support business development initiatives, client alerts, presentations, and thought leadership efforts
