Purpose of Position:


Del Monte Foods is the Foods Division of Fresh Del Monte, a global grower, producer and marketer of fresh, value-added, and shelf-stable produce. Del Monte Foods has a powerful portfolio of brands, including the iconic Del Monteยฎ, Contadinaยฎ and S&Wยฎ. We are currently seeking Warehouse Workers. The General Warehouse Worker is responsible for operating warehouse equipment and performing a variety of warehouse duties to support labeling, inventory control, shipping, receiving, and product handling activities. This role helps maintain safe, efficient, and accurate warehouse operations while supporting quality and productivity expectations.


The General Warehouse Worker works closely with warehouse employees, crew leaders, forklift operators, and supervisors to maintain product flow, inventory accuracy, and operational readiness. This role may work day or night shift depending on production schedules and warehouse needs.


Accountabilities:


Warehouse Equipment and Operations

  • Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Complete minor daily maintenance on warehouse equipment as trained.
  • Support labeling, product movement, inventory control, and general warehouse activities.
  • Operate forklifts and other powered industrial equipment as needed.
  • Assist with rework activities, product handling, and warehouse support functions.
  • Maintain accurate inventory movement through proper use of warehouse systems and documentation.
  • Support production and warehouse teams with work activities as needed.

Documentation and Inventory Control

  • Complete required documentation accurately and maintain neat, legible records.
  • Interface with TrakSYS, TensorID, scanners, and other inventory systems.
  • Perform quality checks to maintain accurate labeling and product identification.
  • Support inventory tracking, product movement, and warehouse transactions.
  • Assist with maintaining organized warehouse storage areas.

Safety, Food Safety, and Quality

  • Follow all company safety, GMP, food safety, and quality requirements.
  • Separate held or restricted product properly.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas throughout the department.
  • Support compliance with lockout/tagout, hot work, confined space, and fall protection requirements.
  • Report unsafe conditions, equipment issues, and quality concerns promptly.


Minimum Skills Required:

  • Valid driverโ€™s license required.
  • Basic math skills required.
  • Basic computer literacy required.
  • Ability to become forklift certified.
  • Ability to stand for most of the work shift.
  • Ability to bend, twist, pivot, reach, climb, and move throughout the warehouse.
  • Ability to work in hot, cold, and changing warehouse conditions.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others and maintain good attendance.
  • Previous warehouse, manufacturing, or labeling experience.
  • Experience operating forklifts or warehouse equipment.
  • Experience using TrakSYS, TensorID, scanners, or inventory systems.
  • Experience supporting inventory control or product movement activities.
  • Experience working in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Equivalent combinations of education, warehouse experience, manufacturing experience, forklift experience, and computer knowledge that provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered.
