Diesel Technician (Future Opportunity - Anticipated July Opening)Serving Whitman, Abington, Duxbury Academy, Norwell, Weymouth, Holbrook & Rockland

First Student is building a talent pipeline for an upcoming Diesel Technician opportunity anticipated to open in July at our shop supporting the Whitman, Abington, Duxbury Academy, Norwell, Weymouth, Holbrook, and Rockland school districts. About the Diesel Technician Role

At First Student, our Diesel Mechanics perform high-level maintenance and diagnostics to keep our Thomas/Freightliner fleet safe, compliant, and road-ready. Responsibilities include:

  • Performing advanced maintenance on brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, and transmissions

  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing complex mechanical and electrical issues

  • Completing work orders and required documentation

  • Supporting mobile emergency service calls as needed

  • Ensuring all repairs meet DOT and company safety standards

Important: This position is safety-sensitive and subject to DOT drug testing.

DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason.

You Might Be a Great Fit If You:
